With great passion working at the Ministry of Heath since I moved to Bahrain. I have been actively involved in developing mental health services in Bahrain tailored with the British system. Associated with Arabian Gulf University and Head of psychiatry Department at Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, Medical University of Bahrain.
Before that I was coordinating between Ministry of Health in Bahrain and the Royal College of surgeons in Ireland for the diploma of psychological medicine, where twenty primary health care doctors attended an intensive clinical course and examined by a team of Professors from Dublin & Bahrain for early detection of psychiatric problems in primary care sector in Bahrain.
Chairperson and organizer of four conferences of Psychiatry in Bahrain in association with the Royal College of Psychiatrists in UK , the World Psychiatric Association , Pan Arab congress in psychiatry and the Arabian gulf psychiatric association as a subdivision of the World Psychiatric Association and presented the Arab Gulf Psychiatric Association at World Congress, Japan.
In addition, held the role of vice president Advisory committee of the Mental health in Bahrain as well as the psychiatric section of Bahrain Medical society. Developed the Bahrain association for friends of psychiatric patients.
I have special interest in Women Psychiatry and Adolescents psychiatric problems to improve the quality of life for all psychiatric population.
